movement
I am a movement artist from Las Vegas. I have been intrigued by intentional movement my entire life, building strong connections to dance and yoga. For over 5 years, I’ve shared restorative stillness, flowing vinyasa, and immersive stretching with communities across New York and Las Vegas. With 500 hours of yoga education, and a BFA in Dance, I bring a unique blend of knowledge, balance, and creative movement to the mat. My classes hold both strength and stretch, challenge and rest - always leaving space for you to feel grounded yet free to explore. Professionally, I have performed in and choreographed dance projects in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Although there is comfort in set performance onstage, and teaching a planned sequence, I am most recently drawn to improvisational structures that allow for unknown and unpredictable aspects, or life. Teaching and practicing yoga has informed my movement as a dance artist by focusing on breath and mindfulness, using movement as a vessel for self discovery. Themes of interest for the future are how to hold onto well being while simultaneously challenging growth for both myself and those I share my movement with.
sound
Last year I received my 40 hour training in Sound Meditation through Bowl Club. I had the pleasure of choosing my crystal bowls based on these three prompts, and upon receiving my bowls the statements hold true.
**My bowls make me feel** like a child discovering magic for the first time — curious and light. I see this feeling in my niece, everything she picks up she creates sound with, like an instinct. There’s a sense of playfulness when I play them, like I’m dancing with sound. They bring both a sense of home while also something unknown. I feel like anything is possible.
**My bowls make other people feel** lighter, freer, and more open-hearted. I see people sigh with relief — like the sound reached a place they forgot existed. There’s a sense of remembering, not necessarily memories but the feeling of being receptive. The bowls invite them into a safe space where they can just be, no pressure, just presence.
**My bowls** are dreamy and grounded. I struggled to actually visualize because in most ways these are contradictory. I almost visualize them as dirt, like how I draw circles in the dirt. However, I also visualize them as iridescent like stained glass if the sun were to shine through them and the color was shown on the floor.
